Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations and support patient safety in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program and NJ state ARRT certification, with proficiency in EPIC/PACS systems and strong communication skills. On-call, weekend shifts, and ALARA adherence are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient computer skills that may include Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors.
• Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
• Follows ALARA principles to restrict radiation beam and ensure patient safety.
• Identifies patient images with name/MRN and correctly marks laterality.
• Operates EPIC, PACS, Teletracking and other clinic systems for scheduling and record-keeping.
