Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technician in New Jersey. The role involves obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations, positioning patients, and ensuring patient safety per ALARA principles.

The position requires completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification, and a Diagnostic Radiography license. You will perform portable exams, document results, and support department operations including scheduling and records

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors.
• Gathers information from medical records to prepare scanning protocols and ensure patient safety.
• Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms and ED.
• Identifies patient images with name and MRN#, marks sides correctly.
• Maintains x-ray room supplies and supports administrative duties.
