Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Georgia is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our physician-owned orthopedic practice. You will perform musculoskeletal imaging, position patients, and adhere to safety and quality standards.

This role offers hands-on diagnostic experience, collaborative team support, and opportunities for growth in a busy, patient-centered clinic.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography is preferred or eligible.
• 1+ year of X-ray technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patient-centered and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures, address concerns, and position patients for musculoskeletal imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely to produce diagnostic images.
• Apply immobilization techniques and follow safety protocols.
• Perform routine equipment checks and quality control.
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies.
• Document procedures and results in the EMR.
• Maintain high accuracy in imaging results.
• Communicate clearly with patients and providers.
• Handle multiple imaging requests in a busy clinic.
• Collaborate with the clinical team while working independently.

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray Technologist at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred not required) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
