Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our orthopedic imaging team. You will educate patients, properly position them for musculoskeletal studies, and operate X-ray equipment safely to deliver high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety protocols, performing equipment checks, and documenting results in the EMR. A compassionate, patient-centered approach and ability to collaborate with clinicians are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification (preferred) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification.
• 1+ year X-Ray Technician experience preferred.

What You'll Do

As an X-Ray Technologist at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred not required) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
