Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is hiring an X Ray Technician to join its radiology team. The role involves performing imaging procedures under physician supervision, operating radiology equipment, and assisting in sterile field and pain management settings.

Candidates should graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program, be AART registered with CPR current, hold a TN MRT license, and bring good communication skills and independent decision-making ability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
• AART Registered and CPR Current.
• Must have a current TN state license (MRT).
• One-year hospital experience preferred.
• Strong OR skills and/or Pain Clinic preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Must possess independent decision making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations.

Responsibilities

• The Radiology Technician will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians.
• Operate imaging and radiology equipment and assist in sterile field environments.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians and staff.
