Job summary

Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is seeking an X Ray Technician to join its radiology team. The Radiology Technician will perform imaging procedures under physician supervision, operate imaging equipment, and assist in sterile fields during operating room and pain management procedures.

Strong communication and license requirements apply. Qualified candidates will have an accredited radiologic technology program, TN MRT license, AART registration, CPR, and preferably one year hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• AART registration and current CPR certification.
• TN state MRT license current.
• One year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures under physician supervision.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain sterile field in OR and pain management procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians and staff.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

X Ray Technician at Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery

The Radiology Technician will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures. Maintains a professional relationship with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
• Strong OR skills and/or Pain Clinicpreferred.
• AART Registered and CPR Current.
• Must have a current TN state license (MRT)
• One-year hospital experience preferred
• Must possess independent decision making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
• Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations
