Advocate Sherman Hospital - Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for full-time, 36 hours per week, primarily mid-shift with weekend and holiday rotation. The role requires operating radiographic equipment, maintaining ALARA standards, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certification (or eligibility) with IEMA accreditation. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• IEMA Accreditation in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (RT) Certification or eligible; must obtain within 1 year of hire.

Aufgaben

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by a physician.
• Adhere to infection prevention, isolation and sterile techniques as it applies in patient handling and delivery of care.
• Adhere to ALARA principles in performance of exams to reduce exposure to self, the patient and others.
• Utilize proper patient identification to ensure the correct exam on the correct patient at the correct time.
• Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness and ensure adequate supplies for procedures.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort during exams.
• Collaborate with co-workers and physicians to ensure quality patient care.
