Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care Clinic in McAllen, TX seeks a Multi-Tech LMRT to provide radiology support and patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform vital signs, EKGs and specimen collection, assist with front desk duties, and help maintain exam rooms and records.

Requirements include LMRT license in-state, high school diploma, and 1+ year clinical experience; BLS, Breath Alcohol, and Drug Screening certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services.
• LMRT license in state of residency; BLS and necessary certifications to be obtained within stated timelines.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience beneficial.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs; may apply splints, dressings and bandages; prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Check patients in and out of the computer; may assist the Patient Representative with front desk duties.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting patients, checking in/out; End of Day procedures.
• End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

Education

High School diploma

Accredited school of Radiologic Services

LMRT license in state of residency

AAMA certification preferred

1+ year clinical patient care experience

BLS certification within 30 days

Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification

Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months
