Job summary

CareNow urgent care is part of HCA Healthcare and seeks a PRN X-Ray Technician LMRT in Texas to provide timely radiology procedures and support in-house lab tests. The role includes cross-training for front desk duties and potential shift floating across clinics.

Ideal candidates will be LMRT licensed in Texas with at least 1 year of clinical experience, BLS within 30 days, and certifications in Breath Alcohol and Drug screening within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences.
• LMRT license in Texas.
• 1+ year of clinical experience beneficial.
• Ability to obtain BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Be cross trained for front desk duties including greeting patients, checking patients in/out, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• You may be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
• Assist with general patient care when needed.
