Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant PRN to support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role involves vital signs, imaging, EHR documentation, and assisting with front-desk tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinical experience, is licensed as RT/LMRT, has a Medical Assistant credential, and to obtain BLS within 30 days. This PRN position operates at our Littleton, CO clinics under CareNow.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in patient care.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO/ LMRT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages when needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records on radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and outside lab tests.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.

• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.

• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.

• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.

• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.

• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.

• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:
