Job summary

CareNow is seeking a X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant in Denver to join our patient-centered urgent care team. You will perform radiology and medical assisting duties, take vitals, collect specimens, and document in the EHR to support accurate patient care.

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience and an accredited MA program are required; RT/LMRT license and BLS certification are preferred. A sign-on bonus up to $3,000 may be offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) or approved MA program required.
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LMRT) license required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, collect specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.

As aLimited Scope Operator/MA, youwill:

• Take vital signs,collectinglab specimens,performingEKG’s, andadministeringIM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders andupdatespatient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history anddocumentingEHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints,dressingsand bandages.
• Assistwith check-in/check-out whenneededincluding auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities includingradiology,in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+yearof clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent isrequired.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) isrequired.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) orLimited Scope Operator(LSO/ LMRT),license isrequiredin state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification isrequiredwithin30 daysof start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
