Job summary

CareNow urgent care is seeking an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant to provide patient-focused care, perform imaging and lab tasks, and support clinic operations.

Ideal candidates have MA training, RT/LSO LMRT license as applicable, BLS, and a commitment to high-quality patient care within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator license in residency state is required.
• AAMA certification is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing of charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology and lab work; coordinate with outside labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
