Job summary

CareNow urgent care in Colorado is hiring a Limited Scope Operator/Medical Assistant to provide X-ray and patient care in a fast-paced clinic. The role combines imaging duties with MA tasks, requiring strong patient communication and accuracy in charting.

Candidates should have 1+ year clinical experience, an MA program credential, RT/LSO license, and BLS certification within 30 days. EHR experience is preferred and licensing must reflect residency requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider's orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and external lab results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will:

• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
