Job summary

CareNow, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a X-ray Technician/Medical Assistant to support urgent care services. You will perform imaging, collect specimens, and assist with patient flow, with emphasis on accurate charting and safety protocols.

The role requires basic medical assist qualifications, BLS, and state licenses, with benefits and a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 for new hires.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants program or completion of a BOTP program is required.
• GMRT/LMRT or NCT license in state of residency is required.
• Current AAMA certification is preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and send-out labs.
