Job summary

CareNow urgent care is seeking a NCT/Medical Assistant with clinical experience to support patient care and imaging services. You will perform vital signs, EKGs, injections, and x-ray imaging while updating charts in the EHR. A team-focused environment awaits dedicated professionals.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
