Job summary

Baptist Health Urgent Care in Hot Springs, AR is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs. The role involves performing x-ray tests, preparing the exam room, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties.

The position supports a rotating schedule with on-site work, extensive patient interaction, and adherence to safety and documentation protocols. Qualified candidates will have ARRT radiology credentials or a valid AR/X-ray license, BLS, and preferred Medical Assistant

Qualifications

• ARRT radiology certification or ARRT radiography experience.
• State X-ray license (AR) preferred; ARRT certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in waiting area and exam/x-ray rooms.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Provide solutions to patient problems and assist in emergencies.
• Perform follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assist front desk with patient check-in/out as needed.
• Document patient vital signs, history, and current medications.
• Assist with patient transfers and radiology procedures under supervision.
• Follow documentation procedures for patient visits.
• Perform radiology procedures for evaluation by the physician.
• Conduct quality control to ensure quality exams.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure radiation safety.
• Verify equipment functionality and report malfunctions.
• Maintain current radiology licensure and equipment certification.
