Job summary

Adventist HealthCare’s AMG Ortho Surgery location is seeking an experienced X-Ray/Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our outpatient orthopedics team. The role focuses on preparing patients, performing radiographic exams, and ensuring high-quality images for physician interpretation within a high-volume clinic.

Required ARRT certification and Maryland licensure; 1 year of radiologic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 year radiologic experience preferred.
• Maryland state radiologic license required.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Familiar with radiation safety principles and imaging protocols.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for radiographic examinations.
• Verify patient identity and imaging orders prior to procedures.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions.
• Position patients to obtain quality diagnostic images while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Assist patients with mobility devices and orthopedic equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.

• Produce high-quality images and review for completeness and technical quality.
• Document imaging studies in EMR and PACS.

AMG Ortho Surgery Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Orthopedic Practice seeks to hire an experienced X-Ray/Registered Rad Technologist for our AMG Ortho Surgery location who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will:

• Patient Care:
  • Greet and prepare patients for radiographic examinations.
  • Verify patient identity and imaging orders prior to procedures.
  • Explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Assist patients with mobility limitations and orthopedic devices, including casts, braces, walkers, and wheelchairs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Diagnostic Imaging:
  • Perform physician-ordered radiographic examinations including:
  • Upper extremities
  • Lower extremities
  • Spine
  • Pelvis and hips
  • Shoulders
  • Knees
  • Ankles and feet
  • Hands and wrists
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Review images for completeness and technical quality.
• Ensure radiation safety standards and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles are consistently followed.
• Document imaging studies accurately within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• One (1) year of radiologic experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, or outpatient physician practice preferred.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Maryland state radiologic license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and imaging protocols.
• Ability to efficiently perform multiple radiographic studies in a high-volume clinic setting.
• Proficiency with digital radiography and PACS systems.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Work Schedule:

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours per Week: 40

Typical Daily Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 4:30PM

Shift Type: Day Shift

Pay Range: $32.17 - $48.25
