Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist to perform extremity X-ray imaging, align with physician orders, and support clinics across Chicagoland.

You must have a Radiologic Technology degree and ARRT certification or be on track to complete within 6 months; Illinois licensure is required. New grads welcome, flexible shifts, and opportunities to work across multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license or IDPH Radiologic Technologist license required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging following physician orders and ALARA.
• Room patients, take vitals, and document in EMR (Epic).
• Assist with clinical tasks as needed.
• Communicate physician and PA treatment instructions to patients.
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform daily QC checks, report issues.

We’re growing our imaging team and looking for a PRN X-Ray Technologist who wants flexible, meaningful work in a clinic that actually stands for something.

What You’ll Do

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging to support diagnosis and treatment, following physician orders and ALARA principles
• Room patients, collect vitals, and document accurately in the EMR (Epic) when needed
• Support clinical tasks when needed
• Relay physician and PA instructions to patients about their treatment plans
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform daily QC checks, and report issues promptly

Schedule Details

• As-needed shifts with flexible scheduling — no guaranteed hours
• You’ll be contacted to cover a full shift at a designated clinic; location varies based on need and your ability to commute

Who We’re Looking For

You have a degree in Radiologic Technology and are either ARRT certified or on track to complete certification within 6 months of hire. Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (or IDPH Radiologic Technologist) licensure is required to practice in this role.
