Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist to provide imaging support across Chicagoland clinics. You'll perform extremity X-rays, document in Epic, and help ensure patient-centered care.

New grads welcomed. Positions offer flexible, as-needed shifts with no guaranteed hours. The role involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25–30 lbs, with Spanish ability considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT certification or in progress within 6 months.
• Illinois licensure (Nuclear Safety or IDPH Radiologic Technologist) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging per physician orders and ALARA principles.
• Room patients, record vitals, and document in Epic EMR.
• Support clinical tasks as needed.
• Relay physician instructions to patients about treatment plans.
• Maintain imaging equipment and perform QC checks.

We're growing our imaging team and looking for a PRN X-Ray Technologist who wants flexible, meaningful work in a clinic that actually stands for something.

What You'll Do

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging to support diagnosis and treatment, following physician orders and ALARA principles
• Room patients, collect vitals, and document accurately in the EMR (Epic) when needed
• Support clinical tasks when needed
• Relay physician and PA instructions to patients about their treatment plans
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform daily QC checks, and report issues promptly

Schedule Details

• As-needed shifts with flexible scheduling — no guaranteed hours
• You'll be contacted to cover a full shift at a designated clinic; location varies based on need and your ability to commute

Who We're Looking For

You have a degree in Radiologic Technology and are either ARRT certified or on track to complete certification within 6 months of hire. Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (or IDPH Radiologic Technologist) licensure is required to practice in this role.
