Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine seeks a PRN X-ray technologist to support imaging across Chicagoland clinics. You will perform extremity X-rays, align with physician orders and ALARA principles, and assist with patient prep and EMR documentation. New grads welcome; ARRT eligible within 6 months, IL licensure required, and Spanish language skills are a bonus. Flexible shifts available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging following physician orders and ALARA principles.
• Room patients, take vitals, and document in the EMR (Epic) as needed.
• Support clinical tasks when required.
• Relay physician and PA instructions to patients about treatment plans.
• Maintain imaging equipment, run daily QC checks, and report issues promptly.

We're growing our imaging team and looking for a PRN X-Ray Technologist who wants flexible, meaningful work in a clinic that actually stands for something.

What You'll Do

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging to support diagnosis and treatment, following physician orders and ALARA principles
• Room patients, collect vitals, and document accurately in the EMR (Epic) when needed
• Support clinical tasks when needed
• Relay physician and PA instructions to patients about their treatment plans
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform daily QC checks, and report issues promptly

Schedule Details

• As-needed shifts with flexible scheduling — no guaranteed hours
• You'll be contacted to cover a full shift at a designated clinic; location varies based on need and your ability to commute

Who We're Looking For

You have a degree in Radiologic Technology and are either ARRT certified or on track to complete certification within 6 months of hire. Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (or IDPH Radiologic Technologist) licensure is required to practice in this role.
