Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist to join our imaging team in Illinois. You will perform extremity X-ray imaging per physician orders, room patients, and document in the Epic EMR.

The role supports flexible, as-needed shifts across clinic locations, with emphasis on patient-centered care. Applicants should have a Radiologic Technology degree and be ARRT certified or on track to complete certification within six months, plus an Illinois licensure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification, or plan to complete within 6 months of hire.
• Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (or IDPH Radiologic Technologist) licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging per physician orders and ALARA principles.
• Room patients, record vitals, and document in EMR (Epic) as needed.
• Assist with clinical tasks when required.
• Communicate physician and PA instructions to patients about their treatment plans.
• Maintain imaging equipment and perform daily QC checks; report issues promptly.

We're growing our imaging team and looking for a PRN X-Ray Technologist who wants flexible, meaningful work in a clinic that actually stands for something.

What You'll Do

• Perform extremity X-ray imaging to support diagnosis and treatment, following physician orders and ALARA principles
• Room patients, collect vitals, and document accurately in the EMR (Epic) when needed
• Support clinical tasks when needed
• Relay physician and PA instructions to patients about their treatment plans
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform daily QC checks, and report issues promptly

Schedule Details

• As-needed shifts with flexible scheduling — no guaranteed hours
• You'll be contacted to cover a full shift at a designated clinic; location varies based on need and your ability to commute

Who We're Looking For

You have a degree in Radiologic Technology and are either ARRT certified or on track to complete certification within 6 months of hire. Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety (or IDPH Radiologic Technologist) licensure is required to practice in this role.
