Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare Incorporated is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine radiographic procedures, prepare high-quality images for radiologist interpretation, and support the department with safety and quality initiatives. The role requires ARRT registration or registry eligibility, completion of a two-year radiologic technology program, and state licensure.

BLS certification and several years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by confirming physicians’ orders, verifying patients’ identities, and obtaining histories to ensure appropriateness of examinations.
• Performs radiology examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency through annual orientation.
• Adheres to departmental policies, procedures, standards, and protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors with radiation safety practices.
