Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic/CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiology and CT exams in accordance with physician orders. The role ensures high-quality images and effective communication with radiologists for timely interpretation.

The position requires ARRT certification or documented cross-training, a VA license, CPR, and at least six months of relevant experience. Opportunities exist within a supportive team and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams or completion of cross-training program.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology and CT examinations by confirming physician orders and patient identity.
• Performs radiology/CT examinations across all age groups and maintains competency.
• Transports patients as needed and supports department operations.
• Adheres to safety, policies, and quality standards.
• Maintains RIS/department information systems and documents procedures.
• Supervises students and supports the MWH School of Radiologic Technology.
