Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. Dover Casting in Dover, New Jersey is seeking an XRAY Inspector to join the team. The role covers Level I/II responsibilities, operating x-ray equipment to inspect metal castings and ensure defects are identified per customer specs.

Training begins on 1st shift for several months; current shifts are 2nd (2:30pm-10:30pm) and 3rd (10:30pm-6:30am). Starting hourly rate is $25.66 with potential increase after 12 months to $28.31; shift premium applies off-shift.

Qualifications

• Must pass RT Level I exams with a composite score of 80% or higher.
• Operates x-ray units to inspect metal castings according to customer requirements.
• Reads and interprets film/digital images and maintains records per NADCAP.
• Level II certification progression through competency and company need.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 320 KV, 450 KV, MEV and digital X-ray units to inspect castings for internal defects.
• Load film cassettes and process/ sort film.
• Operate densitometers to verify film densities and maintain NADCAP records.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with EH&S policies.
• Train toward Level II Inspector as needed by competency.
