Job summary

ProSmile is seeking a Dental Assistant with X-Ray to support clinical needs across our practices. You will assist dentists, manage patient interactions, and help with recordkeeping and scheduling under supervision. This role requires an active NJ Dental Assistant license and an X-ray license, with CPR certification and flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Dental Radiologic Technologist license or willingness to pursue licensure immediately required.
• 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
• X-ray License required and NJ Registered Dental Assistant license current.
• Active CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist chairside.
• Maintain inventory in operatories where treatment is rendered.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
• Coordinate scheduling, follow-up treatments, and record keeping with patients.
• Perform basic lab tasks: impressions, pour models, prepare cases for external labs.
• Remove excess cement and fabricate temporary crowns as directed by dentist.
• Place/remove rubber dam and clamps; assist with orthodontic bands and wires.
• Support the dental team and maintain clean public areas.
