Job summary

Capstone Copper's Pinto Valley Mine in Arizona is seeking an X-Ray Technician to operate and maintain the on-stream X-ray analyzer (OSA) and support mill sampling and metallurgical testing. You will ensure accurate measurements, calibrations, and data delivery while adhering to SOPs and safety protocols.

You will work closely with Mill, Maintenance, Laboratory, and Metallurgy personnel, performing sampling, measurements, and basic lab tasks, with rotating shifts and a strong emphasis on safe

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience in mill concentrator operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
• Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate the on-stream X-ray analyzer to support process monitoring.
• Maintain the OSA and sample delivery systems, including associated equipment.
• Collect mill shift samples and calibration samples for lab analysis.
• Troubleshoot analyzer, sample delivery, and process-stream issues.
• Document issues and communicate with Metallurgy, Mill, and Maintenance staff.
• Support metallurgical testing and sampling as directed by the Metallurgist.
• Collaborate with Mine, Processing, Crusher, Mill, Maintenance, Laboratory teams.
• Promote a safe work culture and adhere to site safety requirements.
