Job summary

Capstone Copper Pinto Valley is seeking an on-site Environmental Technician to support regulatory compliance, sampling, and waste management at the Pinto Valley Mine in Arizona. You will ensure safe operations, maintain environmental records, and assist with field activities and data collection.

The role requires a HS diploma, strong communication skills, English fluency, and a focus on safety in a mining environment. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English with clear written and oral communication.
• Safety-focused and able to work in a mining environment.
• Ability to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Pinto Valley Mine and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure personnel are competent to perform assigned tasks.
• Sample groundwater, surface water, and potable water for regulatory compliance.
• Input laboratory data into Intelex and ensure timely reviews and reporting.
• Maintain waste tracking spreadsheets and waste profile binder.
• Assist with purchases for Environmental Department and sampling supplies.
• Conduct opacity observations and maintain Method 9 certification.
• Monitor waste bins and manage shipments with DOT-compliant documentation.
• Assist with field work, data collection and regulatory record keeping as needed.
