Job summary

The University of Pikeville is seeking an IT AV Events & Support Technician Level III to lead technical operations for campus events and classroom support. Based at Armington 007, you will ensure seamless AV/IT performance, troubleshoot real-time issues, and communicate with faculty and event partners.

You will mentor student staff, collaborate with the AV/IT team, and pursue ongoing learning to stay ahead with new technologies, while supporting diverse campus events and maintaining

IT AV EVENTS & SUPPORT TECHNICIAN LEVEL III

Division: Support Services Department: Information Technology Services

Experience: Advanced Job Code: TBD

Supervisor/Reports To: Charlie Cable/Brittany Mullins Start Date: 8/24/2026

Responsibilities And Career Competencies
  • Lead technical operations for high-profile events and classroom support, ensuring seamless AV/IT performance. (T, L, P)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues in real time across classrooms and event spaces. (CT, T, P)
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and event partners to assess needs and deliver professional support. (C, P)
  • Mentor and train junior student staff, promoting growth in technical proficiency and workplace readiness. (L, TW, CSD)
  • Collaborate with the AV/IT team to align daily operations with broader campus goals and service excellence. (TW, CTR, P)
  • Model professionalism and leadership, setting a standard for service, responsibility, and initiative. (P, L, CSD)
