Job summary

Eversource is seeking a System Operations Procedures Specialist to create, revise, and publish procedures for the CT region and Western Massachusetts. You will ensure alignment with current system configurations and regulatory obligations, coordinating with ISO-NE and other utilities.

The role requires experience with electric power distribution, strong documentation skills, and the ability to represent procedures in industry forums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 5–8 years in electric power distribution/transmission; 2 years system operator experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and publish distribution System Operations procedures for Eversource.
• Develop, revise, and publish detailed instructions, procedures, and guidelines for operating the distribution system in CT and WMA.
• Maintain and update System Operations procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with current configurations.
• Coordinate with Eversource departments, ISO-NE, neighboring utilities, and member organizations for procedure development and updates.
• Perform periodic reviews of procedures and substation operating instructions for accuracy and compliance.
• Represent System Operations Procedures in meetings, committees, and industry forums.
• Participate in event review teams and prepare incident analyses as requested by Operations management.
• Provide documentation, gather evidence, and support compliance audits.
