Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the head coach in try-outs, team selection, practices and games.

The ideal candidate will hold a Minnesota coaching certificate (or equivalent), have a strong background in wrestling, and demonstrate coaching experience. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to foster student growth, parent and staff collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the school mission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.

The assistant coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of running the program including try-outs, team selection, practices, games, etc.
