Job summary

Mounds View Public School District is seeking an assistant wrestling coach for Winter 26-27 to support the head coach in try-outs, team selection, practices, and games. The role focuses on building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community leaders through energetic, transformational coaching.

Stipends are paid in accordance with the Teacher Labor Agreement, Appendix C

Overview

The assistant coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of running the program including try-outs, team selection, practices, games, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experiencein building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the schoolmission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
