Collier County Public Schools seeks an Assistant Wrestling Coach (Boys) at Palmetto Ridge High. The role requires current Florida educator or athletic coaching certification and completion of First Aid/CPR/AED. Candidates must be 21+ and provide at least one reference, unless they are already CCPS staff.

This is a full coaching position with school-based duties and state-required certifications. Applicants should obtain the applicable athletic coaching certificates (3-year temporary or 5-year)

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
• 1 Reference Letter (not for current CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required; teaching certification holders may not need athletic certification.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).
• See Florida certs: 3-Year Temporary Certificate and 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate.

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)

5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.

Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educators Certification.
