Collier County Public Schools in Florida invites applications for supplemental athletic coaching positions across wrestling, AC/BO. Compliance with district guidelines is required.

Applicants must be 21+, have a High School Diploma or GED, and hold a current Florida Educator or Athletic Coaching Certification. A First Aid/CPR/AED/BLS certificate is required. Reference letter required for most applicants.

Qualifications

• Must have completed online application with required uploaded documents.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• 1 Reference Letter (not required for current CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required.
• Note: Coaches with teaching certification do not need athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
