Job summary

Collier County Public Schools in Florida is seeking a MS Soccer Head Coach/Game Instructor for a supplemental position. The role requires established coaching credentials and the ability to lead a high school team, with responsibilities that include planning practices and coordinating game day operations.

Candidates must hold a current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification (teaching cert holders do not need coaching cert) and must complete First Aid/CPR/AED; a 21+ age

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
• 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff).
• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. NOTE: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
