Collier County Public Schools is filling two assistant baseball coaching roles for the Spring season. This supplemental position supports the varsity program and works under the district athletic staff.

Applicants must complete the online application with the required documents, be at least 21 years old, have a High School Diploma or GED, and hold a Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification. First Aid/CPR/AED is required.

• Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. NOTE: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
• Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).

The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates:

• 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.)
• 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate

WHO NEEDS IT?

• Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
• Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator’s Certification.
