Job summary

Community First Credit Union is seeking a Teller to greet members warmly, handle cash transactions accurately, and provide top-notch service. You will balance cash, process deposits and withdrawals, and cross-sell products in a fast-paced, member-owned environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of cash handling experience, strong listening and communication skills, and comfort using Microsoft Office and web-based tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of cash handling experience; teller experience is a plus.
• Excellent listening ability and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, WOW service to internal and external members
• Receive cash and checks for deposit into members accounts
• Cash checks for members
• Accept loan and credit card payments
• Make transactions between accounts as instructed by members
• Place proper holds on deposited items for uncollected funds following CFCU policy and procedure
• Handle proper disbursement of cashier's checks, money orders, and gift cards
• Identify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses for the member and the credit union
• Accurately balance and close cash drawer at the end of each business day
• Promote, cross-sell, and refer credit union products and services to fulfill member financial needs
