Responsibilities

• Assess residents' skin condition on admission and during care.
• Initiate skin and wound progress reports when issues are identified.
• Notify attending physician of skin conditions promptly.
• Initiate and document treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Audit treatment sheets and ensure documentation is complete.
• Monitor oxygen supply and other wound care equipment.
• Take cultures as ordered by the physician.
• Attend in-service trainings and participate in monthly rounds with skin care consultant.
• Keep treatment carts clean and organized.
• Coordinate care with nutrition, therapy, and nursing staff.
