Job summary

WOODLANDS is seeking a Registered Nurse Treatment Nurse to provide primary skin care under medical direction, focusing on wound treatment and prevention for residents. The RN will modify treatment plans to meet patient needs and collaborate with the care team in a skilled facility.

The role requires an active RN license and appropriate education. You will educate residents and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention while documenting care for reimbursement

Qualifications

• Assess and monitor wounds.
• Debride, clean, and bandage wounds.
• Collaborate with care team for antibiotics, surgery, or other treatments.
• Care for ostomies/diabetic foot as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and prevention.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate wound status and adjust care plans.
• Document treatments and progress for Medicare/Billing.
• Coordinate with physicians for treatment decisions.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control.
