Job summary

The Wound Care Registered Nurse at Baylor The Heart Hospital Dallas assesses patients, designs care plans, and collaborates with the team to optimize wound healing. This role requires 3 years as an RN and at least 1 year in wound care, plus CWCN certification, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm shift.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates, with relocation assistance for eligible candidates relocating 50+ miles. Training may take place in Plano.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associates degree in nursing.
• Holding an active Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• 3 years as RN with at least 1 year in wound care.
• CWCN certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and establish diagnoses related to wounds.
• Create and monitor healthcare plans for wound care.
• Observe patient responses and adjust treatment as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to improve quality and outcomes.
• Educate bedside RNs on wound care techniques.
