Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Supervisor Wound Nurse RN to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day activities of the Nursing Department in a long-term care facility. You will focus on providing skin care to residents under medical direction, with emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders.

You will confer with nursing leadership, assess residents, refer to physicians when needed, and implement policies to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have Wound Certification from an accredited institution.
• Must hold a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with current active license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in a health care facility.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct day-to-day nursing department functions.
• Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents.
• Identify, manage, and treat skin disorders and related conditions.
• Ensure nursing staff follow policies and maintain quality care.
• Collaborate with physicians and DON to plan resident care and treatment.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules.
