Job summary

Journey is seeking a compassionate Wound Nurse to oversee nursing services for your assigned unit, ensuring high-quality care and regulatory compliance while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Lead staffing, coordinate resident care, and provide wound care per physician orders. This on-site role offers professional development and a supportive community focused on residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Georgia.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• Wound certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Make staffing assignments, encourage professional development, and review documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Oversee resident assessments, ensure supplies, and address grievances with timely reporting to the Director of Nursing.
• Provide wound care on assigned residents, in accordance with physician orders, following manufacturer recommendations and appropriate techniques.
