Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, SC is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive burn and wound care for adults in a patient-centered model. You will perform clinical assessments, manage treatments autonomously, and advocate for patient safety during the stay.

You will educate patients and families about medications, procedures and treatments while documenting care accurately, and you will collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the state.
• (WCC) Wound Care Certified, or (CWS) Certified Wound Specialist, must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• 2 years experience Required Years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Communicate pertinent clinical information to physicians, nurses and other staff.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies and equipment.
• Serve as a resource for new employees.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments, providing support throughout stay.
• Accurately complete documentation in patient records.
