The role emphasizes clinical assessment, autonomous treatment, and collaboration with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

You will educate patients about medications and procedures, document thoroughly, advocate for safety, and support new staff while delivering compassionate care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse credential
• (WCC) Wound Care Certified or (CWS) Certified Wound Specialist must be obtained within 6 months
• 2 years of experience required

Responsibilities

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations and make care based decisions.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Communicate pertinent clinical information to physicians, nurses and other support staff.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Act as a resource for new employees.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
• Accurately complete documentation on patient’s record.
