Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, SC is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide burn and wound care and to assess and treat ill, injured, and recovering adults within a patient-centered care model.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff, document care, educate patients and families, advocate for patient safety, manage supplies, and act as a resource for new staff while delivering high-quality nursing care during each patient’s stay.

Qualifications

• RN and wound care nursing skills.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• WCC or CWS certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Assess and manage clinical situations and make care-based decisions autonomously.
• Advocate for patient safety and educate patients about medications and procedures.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Communicate with physicians and staff and manage time, supplies, and equipment.
• Serve as a resource for new employees.
