Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital seeks a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide specialized burn and wound care for adults in a patient-centered model. You will perform autonomous clinical assessments, manage treatments, and educate patients and families during their stay.

Responsibilities include documenting care, communicating with physicians and staff, and serving as a resource for new employees.

Qualifications

• RN registered nurse with valid license.
• Wound care certification (WCC or CWS) within 6 months.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Demonstrate ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions.
• Advocate for patient safety.
• Communicate pertinent clinical information to physicians, nurses and staff.
• Ensure effective use of time, supplies and equipment.
• Act as a resource for new employees.
• Educate patients on medications, procedures and treatments; provide family support.
• Accurately complete documentation in patient records.
