Job summary

HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital in Walterboro, SC is seeking a compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to provide burn and wound care, perform clinical assessments, and manage treatments in a patient-centered model.

You will advocate for patient safety, educate patients on medications and procedures, document accurately, and serve as a resource for new staff while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• 2 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide burn and wound care for patients.
• Demonstrate ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions.
• Advocate for patient safety.
• Provide general nursing care and communicate pertinent clinical information to physicians, nurses and staff.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Serve as a resource for new employees.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments, providing support to patients and families.
• Accurately complete documentation in patient records.
