Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center to provide specialized wound care and hyperbaric therapy. The role emphasizes assessments, plan development, and patient education in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

Requirements include NC or compact RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, and 1 year of clinical nursing experience; BLS within 30 days. Schedule: Mon-Thu 7:30-4:30, Fri 7:30-2:00.

Qualifications

• North Carolina state RN license or compact state license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• One year of clinical nursing experience; wound care or Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care.
• Coordinates wound care treatments per physician orders and interdisciplinary team input.
• Monitors patient progress, evaluates treatment effectiveness and communicates updates to the provider.
• Educates patients and families on wound prevention, treatment plans, self-care, and disease management.
• Maintains clinical documentation to support quality care and regulatory requirements.
• Assists with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments and safety protocols.
• Serves as a clinical resource for wound care best practices and quality improvement.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies, procedures and accreditation standards.
