Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. You will assess patients, plan care, and coordinate wound treatments with the interdisciplinary team.

You'll educate patients and families, monitor progress, and ensure accurate documentation while supporting Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and safety protocols in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license (compact state accepted).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Associate's degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of clinical nursing experience; wound care/Hyperbaric experience preferred.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary team members.
• Coordinates and implements wound care treatments based on physician orders and evidence-based practices.
• Monitors patient progress, evaluates treatment effectiveness, and communicates updates to the care team.
• Educates patients and families on wound prevention, treatment plans, self-care, and disease management.
• Accurately completes and maintains clinical documentation to support quality care and regulatory requirements.
• Assists with and supports Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments while following safety standards.
• Serves as a clinical resource for wound care best practices and helps with quality improvement.
• Maintains compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
