Holy Cross Health is seeking a part-time Wound Care Nurse in Silver Spring to assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive wound, skin, and ostomy care across diverse age groups.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote healing, patient education, and quality of life, with a day shift that is flexible within schedule. Qualified candidates bring CNS/WOCN certification and Maryland RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred).
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• CWCN, WCC or WOCN Certification required.
• At least one year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse.
• Current RN license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound, skin, and ostomy assessments across all age groups.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on clinical findings.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding wound prevention and management.
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and healthcare team members to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Support the mission of Holy Cross Health and Trinity Health, delivering care with compassion and excellence.
• Deliver care with sensitivity to the unique physical and psychosocial needs of patients, from neonates to geriatric populations.
