Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Wound Care Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, and deliver specialized wound, skin, and ostomy care. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to promote healing and improve patient outcomes in a mission-driven environment.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure (or Compact), WOCN certification, and 1+ year wound care experience. BSN preferred. Excellent teamwork and patient education are essential; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in Maryland or Compact State.
• WOCN certification required.
• BSN preferred or higher if BSN/MSN not on hire.
• Minimum 1 year wound care nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound, skin, and ostomy assessments across all age groups.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on clinical findings.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff on wound prevention and management.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Deliver care with compassion and excellence aligned with Holy Cross Health and Trinity Health.
• Address diverse patient needs from neonates to geriatrics with sensitivity.
